World renowned, the Winterthur Museum has an amazing collection of decorative arts which are available to its licensees for their design inspiration. Scott Potter has extensively drawn upon the Joseph Downs Collection for its Chinese watercolors. This 3″ x 7″ tray is an example of one of the finely painted figures which gives this piece both its elegance and charm. Created with a carefully handcut print placed under the glass, it has been combined with a special patterned paper and a stripe of silver gilding.
