Since 1992, Scott Potter has created his original and dramatic interpretation of the centuries’ old art of decoupage: hand cut papers applied under the glass in multiple layers to form a collage, similar to reverse painting under glass, but with paper instead of paint.
Once the gilding in gold or silver or the white glaze has been applied, Scott Potter finishes his design with handmade papers and a sealer.
The sealed piece protects the papers from moisture and makes it impervious to water.
The care of a Scott Potter design should be as follows: hand wash, no dishwasher, no microwave.
Clean the front with mild soap and running water, and do not soak. Dry carefully by hand. Do not place in direct sunlight.
For Scott Potter vases: for live floral arrangements, use ONLY with a glass or plastic insert or damage will result.
